soft-food-for-braces

Having a difficult time finding foods you like to eat because of your braces? Well, we have got some delicious recipe ideas to get you through. In today’s offering, we have a corn chowder soup that is to die for. Since corn-on-the-cob is one of those restricted food items that you can’t eat, we thought this might be a good replacement.

INGREDIENTS:

-2 tablespoons diced salt pork or bacon
-3 tablespoons chopped onion
-1 quart milk
-4 cups diced potatoes
-2 ½ cups canned, cream style, corn
-Salt and pepper
-2 tablespoons chopped parsley

DIRECTIONS:

Cook salt pork or bacon slightly; add onion and cook about 10 minutes or until soft but not browned. Add milk and potatoes. Boil gently about 20 minutes or until potatoes are tender.

Add corn; season to taste and heat.

Sprinkle each serving with chopped parsley. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
